Streamers have made a big impact on the gaming industry in the last couple of years. Some made games popular and others made gaming look enjoyable. Since 2011 Twitch has been the most popular streaming website so far, with pulling 1.9 million hours of live content being watched so far. Streamers such as Ninja, shroud, Tfue, XQC and many more have earned millions since starting live streaming on Twitch. When Twitch was first created it mainly focused on gaming but in the past few years many people have discovered streaming things such as cooking, making things, just chatting and sharing their everyday life with people on the internet. Ninja (Tyler Blevins) is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch so far with pulling 635,000 viewers around the world watching while he played a game. EA Games paid $1 million to a number of streamers to advertise and play there new upcoming game they were about to release, while if you were working in a normal office job that would take you decades to earn. Not only do you see men gaming but there are some popular female streamers out there on Twitch. Big companies such as Nike or Adidas are promoting their gear on popular Twitch streamers and having sponsorship deals just like they would do to athletes. This is because of the increase visibility of the video game culture with hundreds of thousands of viewers and the gamers in the broadcast want to look good as any other athletic star would. So far Fortnite has made the most money for streamers on Twitch and other streaming platforms.
